Match Report Bodega Cup at The Springs 19th March 2023
With hot conditions expected for the day the 9:30 start wasn’t ideal, but we had 19 starters for the day. Luckily we had carts as the temperature hit 39+degrees with no breeze. On top of the heat the course was in average condition at best, this showed in the scoring, with the average score just above 26. The Bodega Cup is a 2 ball better ball annual event that has been held for over 30 years.
The winners of the Bodega Cup were:
- 1st Steve Joyce and Matt Brown 44 points
- 2nd John Penny and Josh Stracey 42 points CB
- 3rd Less Andrews and Lee Henderson 42 points
Silver medal winner with 37 points on a countback was Lee Henderson
Nearest Pin on the 10th was Allan Wicket
Nearest Pin on the 16th was Alex Grieg
Jackpot not won.
The Travellers Cup is the 6th and 7th May at Hawks Nest.
