Club Belrose Golf News

An early start to the day - but a pleasant day overall.

There was not even a hint of wind and being the first out on the course is always a little surreal.

The temperature was slightly cool and ever so slowly warmed up as the day progressed.

The greens looked slow at first glance - but they weren't - perhaps I should have had a practice put.

The course was looking good, and the yellow markers were challenging enough.

We had 19 players for the individual stableford event.

The silver medal winner for the day was the only person to better their handicap with a massive 40 points.

Congratulations to Carl Walker.

Brendan Ayres shot a solid 35 to take out 2nd position and Adam Preston a further 2 strokes behind for 3rd.

The other prize winner was Brendan Ayres with a nearest the pin on the 9th and Alan Wickett on the 17th.

The Jackpot was not won.

The current point score leader is Jason Pugh with 97 points.

The next game is the Memorial Shield event on the 20th June held at Kooindah Water at Wyong.

This is a 4 Ball Ambrose event - with carts included.

Teams will be drawn on the Wed prior.

All players are handicap ranked and then divided into 4 groups for the random draw.

Each team will then have a low handicap, a high handicap and 2 mid handicaps.

We ideally want full teams of 4 - so get your name in early.
