Club Belrose Golf News

We woke to some light drizzle and evidence of some overnight rain.

On arrival at the course we were optimistic that the weather was going to clear up and the greens dry up like normal.

Unfortunately this was not the case and instead the rain settled in making for a dismal day on the course.

Even with the weather set back, it was great that we managed to be able to once again get out and exercise during the current COVID lock down.

Thank you to everyone for roughly following the COVID plan and trying to stay safe.

We had 30 starters for the individual stableford event including a number of returning members and new members

Even with the dismal weather and cold temperatures we had a drenched 15 players that persisted to the end.

Well done.

The WINNER for the day was Steve Joyce with 42 points.

2nd - Jason Pugh with 37 points

3rd - Matt Brown with 36 points

The Nearest the Pin winners were Adam Preston on the 5th and Ted Hutchinson on the 13th.

The Jackpot was not won.

Prizes and balls will be handed out at the next Wednesday club raffle or the next game - depending on the restrictions.

The most drowned player award goes Robbie Rodriquez.

The next game was Mona Vale scheduled for the 10th Oct - BUT this has been cancelled by Mona Vale Golf Course in the last few days.

The committee will investigate alternative arrangements and will update all members in due course.

Thank you to everyone for representing our small club today and making the most of the cold and wet as much as possible.

I appreciate the efforts.
