Travellers Cup – Hawks Nest Report
The Travellers Cup at Hawks Nest was played over the weekend in perfect weather, setting the scene for an enjoyable and competitive couple of days.
Saturday saw Darren Clayton-Ash lead the way with an impressive 39 points, closely followed by Mark Gumbleton on 37 points. Despite the ideal conditions, the cored greens proved challenging and made putting a bit difficult for the field. Distant 3rd was Dan on 30 points
On Sunday, both leading players appeared a little nervous. Mark Gumbleton returned 29 points, while Darren Clayton-Ash finished with 27 points. This left both players tied on a combined total of 66 points for the weekend, with Mark Gumbleton taking out the win on countback.

• 10th hole: Mark Gumbleton
• 16th hole: Ken “Arse on Fire” Digney
A great weekend was had by all, with good golf, great conditions, a few beverages and plenty of laughs along the way.
