A wonderful spring morning 7.19 tee off saw 27 golfers ready to take on Wakehurst off the gold tees with one late withdrawal in Jack with a sick child hope all was ok in the end see you Xmas day.
Golf etiquette: Please be aware that it is not acceptable or funny to hit up on any player or group, this inept myopic behaviour will not be tolerated in our club, both myself and Brownie and several others have been hit at close range by golf balls this is not fun and very dangerous.
My fingers are beginning to bleed and your ears must be ringing, from writing about slow play so this will be the last time it comes up, it seems like the only solution is for those dragging the chain to be put in a group with a committee member and when falling behind kindly asked to forfeit the hole and make their way to the next hole and prepare to tee off.
On a happier note, great to see the winner of the Cancer Council award Pablo Escobar, AKA Chris Siemsen gracing the fairways once again and like a true Columbian will head South to watch daughter Remy Play round ball for Australia Good Luck Remy, must be graced with mums sporting ability and looks!
We are under increasing pressure from golf clubs about speed of play, as numbers have surged since Covid, and they are trying to keep their members happy!
