A mild morning with the humidity starting to creep up, 24 golfers set out to take on Wakehurst with one reserve.

One player withdrew at the halfway mark with injury and I think a few others thought the same way. I had the pleasure of sharing a meal the night before with a true sporting legend bowler, golfer, darts player, he was feeling the pinch after spending Fri/Sat on the bowling green then having to go out and take on Wakehurst Sunday. He fuelled himself with a hearty ploughmans plate and few steins! Thanks Carlos, we left there fuller than a fat persons sock.
