With the first of two traveler’s cups for 2024 arriving, 24 golfing enthusiast set off on a 2.5 hour trek North for most although Peter Thomas who lives a stones throw across the bay had to trek west North than East to join us thanks, Peter is now known as two meter Peter.
A lovely meal was enjoyed by most with a few ales to wash it down at the golf club!
We then headed back to the accommodation organized by Matt and Dan a new house this year which seem to work better having 4 bathrooms helped, A for a few more beers and some footy to watch.
Saturday morning greeted us with a nice day for golf! 7am tee off and leading out the comp of the day an Irish Fourball. The breakfast was bacon & eggs cooked by Josh and Zac and overseen by D C Ashes.
The course was in good condition although the greens were slow after being recently cored but speed of play was good with a 4hr 10 minute round.

No nearest the pins, we headed home for steak salad and sausages Cooked by a new very hungry member in Peter Le Blang welcome to the club and well cooked. An afternoon of horses and footy and a few more beers although several tried to drink the ocean dry! This was found out Sunday morning with a few weary heads. Mrs Doubtfire who never ceases to amaze produced bacon and poached eggs to fill our bellies well cooked.
Sunday game was hindered by rain, drizzle at times than very heavy rain saw us call it quits after nine holes. I introduced a new game format in money ball with each team player contributing a score on alternate holes the winner of that event was,
