Club Belrose Golf

Where Golf is the Winner

A 1.40pm tee off at Eastlake Golf Club led to a smaller than usual field of 16 players. A new course to most of our members. Conditions were good, the course in great condition and the club very welcoming. As it was a very warm afternoon a good decision was made by some players to use carts – Some of the walks between green and tee were long!

We welcomed a new member – Luke O’Connor. A lot of you will know him from the club already. Paul Stracey lost his putter around the 6th hole so was forced to use his hybrid for most of the round! Good news though, the putter has been found and a local courier will be picking it up later in the week so no need for Paul to go out and buy a new one.

All of the winners came from the third group. 3rd was Zac Stracey on 33 points. Les Andrews beat him into 2nd place on a countback. The silver medal winner was Josh Stracey with a highly respectable 41 points. We may need to just give Josh the bag of medals now if he carries on in this rich vein of form.

Only one player managed to get a ball onto the green on the three nearest to the pins!
