The Springs – 20th July 2025
I hadn’t played The Springs for over a year, so I was interested in the condition of the course.
The new owners have noticeably spent money on relocating the Pro-shop, some additional drainage on a few fairways and improvements to a couple of greens.
However, there are still some fairways and green surrounds that are ball eating swamps and at least half a dozen nasty greens.
It was perfect weather for golf. Pleasantly warm with no wind.
A smaller group of golfers than normal were keen to take on the course.
Sadly, our keenness didn’t overcome our lack of golfing talent.
Apart from Kingi and Steve who were the winners on the day, nobody else scored more than 28. We were all, how should I put this? . . . . . . a little bit Shit!
Oh well. . . . Gosford, Here we Come!
